In St. Koloman you will find relaxing nature, living customs and traditions. And then there is something completely different! A very special offer that is quite out of the ordinary, especially for the remote location: the Tauglerei

Under the motto "Failure is good," so-called "Fuck-Up Nights" are regularly held in Salzburg. One such event took place this week in the village inn St. Koloman. Three people spoke openly and honestly about the most serious mistakes in their lives.

The Tauglerei in the center of St. Koloman combines the local tradition of the church innkeeper with Far Eastern philosophies and movement theories. There are also rooms for working, chatting and further training.

At the solution congress "Living Consciously Together" on September 14, 2019 in Salzburg, 20 municipalities from Austria presented their initiatives to strengthen rural living spaces. The famous brain researcher Prof. Gerald Hüther asked Patrick Sellier beforehand how the citizens of St. Koloman managed to create the Taugl network, which focuses on the dignity and identity of the place and each individual citizen.

On the journey to yourself: The Tauglerei in St. Koloman near Salzburg offers stressed city dwellers a unique experience between coworking and enjoying nature.

Some showcase projects of the local Agenda 21, such as the "Taugler Körberl", are already being implemented in St. Koloman.

What is special about the place is the residents' joy in meeting people. Whether it is the gathering in the "Tauglerei", the generational theater, the eager collecting for the dialect archive or the pilgrimage at the age of 86.

Since June 1, 2019, there has been a very special kind of coworking space in the Tauglerei. We met with two coworkers and the founder of the shared workplace directly on site.

The Tauglerei brings the city into the village. The locals are happy about the last restaurant in town - despite the vegetarian home cooking.

In Salzburg, towns and communities across Austria should learn from each other what they can do on a small scale to combat major problems such as rural exodus or climate change. The Tauglerei is an example of how communication and appreciation can be promoted in a town.

How the residents of the 1,800-person community in Tennengau can buy food and products from local producers directly in town, even without a shop.

Coach and Ayurveda therapist Patrick Sellier says: We identify strongly with our jobs, but rarely live our identity. In a podcast interview, he explains why feelings deserve more attention in working life and entrepreneurship.

Beyond its conveniences, digitalization has led to an ever-accelerating disruption of society like no other technological innovation. Many population groups feel left behind and are afraid of the future.

The café in the Tauglerei is now open six days a week again and even brews its own beer. There is also a lot going on in the building of the former church inn.

Patrick and Sara Sellier have purchased the former village inn in the center of the village and offer Ayurvedic therapies here in the "Tauglerei". Since February, you can also try the Ayurvedic cuisine of Alexandra Hofer from Gollingen in a small café on the ground floor.

It used to be the Kirchenwirt, today it is the "Tauglerei": In addition to yoga and other courses, a new café is opening in February. And the new owners have a lot planned.

St. Koloman has a new coffee house. On Saturday, the Tauglerei opened in the former Kirchenwirt. The motto: everything worth living for.
